Day 365 – Platte River State Park

I couldn’t decide between these two for my last picture of the day, so I included them both.  I can’t believe I actually made it through!  It was a long haul at times but mostly it was enjoyable.  I did a quick count and conservatively I’ve taken 34,000 photos over the course of the year.  I’ve put a lot of time into this project and I’ve learned a ton, but there’s so much more to learn.

For those family and friends who commented on my photography, online and in person, thank you.  I’m not sure if I could have continued without your encouragement.  Also a special thanks to my wonderful wife Melissa for all her help and support.

I’m not 100% sure what my next project is going to be but I think in January I’m going to start a “picture of the week” project.  I’ll give myself an assignment, execute it and write about it.  Sometime during the first week in January check out http://kentonbrede.com/

If anyone has any questions, feel free to add a comment.

    Kent,
Thank you for sharing your photos. These last two are outstanding—a visual testament to the ephemeral beauty of nature. It’s been a nice way to start the day for a year. Even though I rarely commented, I was always there enjoying your work.

You should be proud of your accomplishment, and to think that you even won at the State Fair! I really enjoyed looking at your photos and at times I found myself looking at things in a different way!! Good Job, Big Bro!!!

Like Jill, I often found myself looking at things in a different way. I miss coming to this site daily to see what you’ve found interesting to photograph. I’ll miss it! k
